Just imagine the effect when:1. Electric cars start to be sold in serious numbers. Think of the energy feed back loops and the amount of of iron and aluminium surplus.2. The government wakes up and cuts all coal subsidies3. All the major rail lines are electrified and powered by wind turbines all along the rail easments.ps. Unfortunately, Richard Pauli is probably correct.

Fantastic news. Just imagine the effect when:1. Electric cars start to be sold in serious numbers. Hope is like air filling the inflatable raft that is science and engineering. Without it - we sink. And if you ignore the raft, there is no chance. Those who rely solely on hope, and reject science, should be the first to drown. (in a fair world) The science of global warming remains poorly examined and the effects underestimated.Even tracking the versions of the Plan B's it clear that the longer we wait, the more difficult the task of survival. The coming decimation could possibly be much like the crises of other civilizations we have known...European Black Death (50%), the Indigenous Peoples in North and South America (90%), Easter Island (99%), etc. The differences in our case is this is a global crash that is scientifically modeled to unfold in relatively predictable ways. Even the amplifying actions of possible tipping points are described.Looking forward to the next version of the survival plan B...so far these seem to underestimate the extent, severity, potential and the rate of the change for the problem.

Thanks go to Lester Brown for his work, we need hope for our global warming future.
