When I was 16 I sustained a tramatic brain injury in an auto accident. I had a brain stem injury, with bleeding into the right hemisphere of my brain, causing paralysis on the left half of my body. I've since recovered to the point that you would never know unless I told you. I've studied figure drawing with an incredibly accomplished, internationally known artist/professor who incorporates drawing figure eights into our warm up routines. He urges us to use alternate between both arms. I find this practice Immensly beneficial and remeniscent of therapy to regain use of my left side. I can therapy myself into ambidextrousity!!!

I am a 29 year old art student. When I was 16 I sustained a tramatic brain injury in an auto accident. Now I haven't as yet tried my experiment. I'll let you know if it works for me.Ernest Norsworthy

Funny thing, I recently posited that as a way to create those creative juices, something similar to the above mentioned studies, is to take any object or picture, video camera running, and to just think about that object and how it could be made more useful. If told to reference right or left[as in turn left or raise your right hand] I have to pause and mentally visualize picking up a pencil which I automaticaly do with my right hand.I have met other artist with the same problem.

I am an artist who at age 63 still have trouble with right and left.
