Similar superlatives can be applied to Carlsbad Caverns, Everglades, Glacier, Grand Canyon, Great Smoky Mountains, Hawaii Volcanoes, Olympic, and Yosemite. The inscription of these 20 American properties as World Heritage Sites formally recognizes the respect they hold in the world community.Regards Car Leasing

The U.S. sites also embrace extraordinary natural wonders in the national parks: the world’s tallest trees at Redwood, the Earth’s longest underground passageways at Mammoth Cave, North America’s largest assemblage of glaciers and peaks above 16,000 feet at Wrangell-St. Elias/Glacier Bay, and the world’s greatest geyser system at Yellowstone. In the Papahanaumokuakea Marine National Monument tourists are able to visit the coral reefs. Midway Atoll visitors regularly snorkel on the amazing reefs there. Additionally Conservation International is planning scuba diving opportunities this year. While this area is very remote, full of extremely sensitive wildlife, and only one of the atolls (Midway Atoll National Wildlife Refuge) is officially open to tourism there are many other opportunities for interested individuals to visit this wonderful monument. Special teacher workshops are held each year, Duke University and University of Hawaii - Hilo run annual student programs, and the USFWS, NMFS, and State of Hawaii offer jobs and volunteer positions throughout the year. Access to this area will only increase should World Heritage status be realized.

I would just like to clear up some misinformation above.
