Having studied with Rudolf Nashan, a member of Reiner's Chicago Symphony, it was immediately apparent that mindfulness was a paramount focus in both his performing as well as in his teaching. And, during my short stay with the New York Philharmonic, it was likewise immediately apparent that Stanley Drucker, the esteemed Principal clarinetist, was the most mindful musician I heard in my 40 year career. Stanley never played anything the same way twice, but instead explored, searched, and allowed a new and different way to tell his musical stories always in a unique and exciting way. After playing only 60 years with the NYPhil, he is retiring way too soon.

“Mozart and Mindfulness” was a most inspiring read.
