Sander Vanocur < Back to Writers
Sander Vanocur began his career as a reporter on the London staff of The Manchester Guardian, and would also do general reporting for The New York Times. He worked at NBC during the Nixon administration (and landed on the president’s enemies list). Vanocur held various positions at ABC News from 1977 to 1991, including chief diplomatic correspondent, senior correspondent in Buenos Aires and anchor for "Business World," the first regularly scheduled weekly business program. He is currently the host of the prime time series Movies in Time and History's Business, both on the History Channel.
He has taught at Duke University and received a bachelor's degree, with an emphasis in political science, from the Northwestern University School of Speech in 1950.
