Mark Obbie teaches magazine journalism at Syracuse University's S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications, where he directs the Carnegie Legal Reporting Program and contributes to the university's programs at the intersection of law, politics and journalism. He writes a critique of legal reporting at his LawBeat blog and is the former executive editor of The American Lawyer magazine.
